well, you're lucky, I just calculated that in Germany, at 1.65 Euro/liter for regular 95SP we pay 9.25$/gallon! Wished I was living in Honolulu!

Just sat in a Yaris non hybrid today, to get a feeling for it. And yes, it is a small car, just like what we are used to here...But the Toyota Aygo is a real mini!

I ordered on too last Friday night (Feb 24) Ordered a II, moonglow. It won't come in until May. How much did you pay? There were obviously no discounts. Paid 21,9?? out the door.
He threw in cargo liner. I was thinking of getting the I but it didn't come with the cargo cover or intermittent wipers.

My Previous car was a 2006 Scion Tc 4 speed Auto 2.4L 4cyl. The specs on the scion may seem somewhat fuel efficient but it was not. I had a tank average of about 18 MPG in real world 90%+ city driving. The official EPA rating on my previous car was 20C/27HWY. Driving the Tc with a lead foot probably did not help either. Hopefully the Prius will help me build more fuel efficient driving habits.

I drive about 15k+ miles a year so my fuel cost savings compared to my previous car should be about $2000-$2500 a year depending on fuel costs. The Prius C is also saving me big on opportunity cost compared to my previous vehicle. Since my Prius C is new and under warranty I will save on maintenance and repairs over my previous car. The Prius c is also cheaper to insure and saves me some money on Motor vehicle Tax since here in Hawaii our Vehicle Tax is based on weight.

I think of my Prius C purchase as being a free car that will pay for itself in about 4-6 years. "Free" as calculated by the opportunity cost of keeping my previous vehicle over the same time period.
