I caught this review and thought others might find it helpful. It explores the relationship between the Prius C being ~500lbs less than a regular liftback yet averaging similar fuel economy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0p3JzARPJTM&feature=youtu.be Host 1: "Ever wonder why a Prius looks like a Prius?" Host 2: "I always thought it was like a mating call for treehuggers."
Mm, I don't recall exactly, but likely yes. Because it's not as optimally aerodynamically shaped as the regular liftback (higher coefficient of drag), its highway results should be lower than its around-town results. However, it'll average out to numbers very similar to the regular Prius. And considering it'll still be dramatically better than most cars...not a concern to me.
