Very. Our local dealer has a Prius c in the showroom today. It has all the options, price tag $25.4k. I went to take a look, and get into the car, I was disappointed. It is quite small. I am 5ft 6 and my wife is 5 ft 1, I dont think we are tall people. I think a regular Prius user will have to "adjust"! Dimentions in inches Prius c 157.3 X 66.7 X 58.7 = 615.9 kilo cubic in Prius 176.4 X 68.7 X 58.7 = 711.4 kilo cubic in on a rough estimate, the prius c is 19in shorter and 2 in narrower, roughly 14% smaller in cubic in. I think Prius c trim 1,2,3 may save some dough when compared to a Prius II 2012. Trim 4 with all the options, in fact is $900 more than a regular Prius II 2012 . Sure, this is not a fair comparison, as this Prius c has all the bells and whistles, newer technology, heated seat, heated side mirror, moon roof, etc. But if you are only interested in good gas mileage and best bang for your buck, and still want decent 'ridability', I would go for a 2012 II. Just my 2 cents after sitting inside a Prius c, today. Will test drive tomorrow, see whether that would change my mind May upload some pics later bun
Not sure what the issue is. It is a sub-compact car. There is typically a sub-compact, compact, midsize, full-size sedan line for regular gasonline vehicles. Toyota is just adding options to its hybrid line-up. You can still choose between it and other Prii. As for price, I can deck out a Chevy Sonic (sub-compact) for the same starting price as a Chevy Cruze (compact) as an example. It's usually the nature of the beast.
I'm not surprised, I knew the c would be a pinky. 17" shorter or whatever it is, is just that. It is what it is. some like their cars quite small. c won't be the cheapest subcompact - one could get a Fiesta for several thousand less. But, I think they'll sell about 5k / month here soon.
