Prius C colors?

I think this shows some of the Prius C colors - don't know how accurate it is:

I saw a Moonglow and a Superwhite this morning - drove a Moonglow demo. These were Prius C IIs. They had Is and IIs for sale.

Went back late afternoon to talk to the salesman - out of 5 - 6 IIs available this morning - only two were left - one Super White and one Habanero. The Cs are selling like hotcakes. If they still had a Moonglow or Gray Metallic - I would have bought one on the spot.

Went on sale today - salesman called me around 9:00 a.m. I was surprised as heck that they are already selling them.

Thought about the Habanero - would be a mid-life crisis car. But it was not on the lot - still in storage.

The Moonglow - as was mentioned - is kind of a pearl white - little bit of sparkle or glitter in very light creamy white.

Ordered a Summer Rain Metallic but will have to wait for the April shipment. The one that came in this first shipment was already sold by the time I got to the dealership @10:00 a.m. March shipment won't have a Summer Rain or if it does - it's already reserved.

I did get to see a fancy color chart and the biggest surprise was the Summer Rain Matallic, which I discribe as Aqua Marine (Blue/Green). With the matallic added in there I bet it really changes color under different lighting conditions. I can't wait to hear from ewaboy and other new Summer Rain Matallic owners about how they love their blue, no green, no aqua, no now it's looking .... ?

Oh no - not again!!

I once had a bluish 1979 Corolla wagon. My friend and I parked it along the Ala Wai canal one afternoon and went to see a movie in Waikiki. It was dark when we got out - we could not find the car - walked several hundred yards along the canal. Turned out that under the weird street lights - sodium vapor?? - the car turned greenish and we did not see it. It was right where we first looked.

Edited to add: When I told the salesman this story - he asked if was a dark blue - I said yes - he said some of the dark blue Toyotas turned purple under florescent lighting.

 

Oh, it's horrible in that orangy crap. I do love the v's clear sky blue color... I saw it, in person! just a few days ago.

 

I saw the V in that color too - the first V I ever saw - it was the demo and not for sale. I agree - a very nice color.

Thought long and hard about getting a V but the lower MPG killed the idea for me.

Habanero - thought about getting it to drive other people crazy. Very "young" looking color - as the salesman said it's like when Scion pushed out a bunch of limited edition hot colors - to attract the young people. Imagine me - a fat, broken down old man pulling up in a Habanero C and hobbling out of my car (edit for clarity: car not "can" I'm not pooping myself - yet.)

 

Personally? I think the Habanero looks like "Fry Sauce". I don't want my car to look like fry sauce.

Denote my sarcasm when I say, its wonderful that Toyota has dug down into the depths of creativity to come out and market 2 choices of (my favorite) White.

Sparkly White...and Non-Sparkly White....because The World cannot have enough White Prius...

I suggest next year they add "Bone"....a Semi-Sparkly White...

Perhaps the 3rd year? Blanche Festival....a slight off white...

I just want to see the "White" choices continue to multiply.

 

Fry sauce is better than one might think (this coming from a fan of mayo and ketchup individually). There is a striking resemblance, though.

I'm leaning towards one of the metallic blues.

Under the mid-afternoon sun in Honolulu - it looks more greenish than the pictures in the link. Salesman says it looks "teal". I think it may turn bluish under more subdued or artificial lighting.

Salesman called and said: "We got a Summer Rain on the lot - wanna see it?" I almost had a heart attack - then he said it's not for sale but brought onto the lot because it was supposed to be delivered (picked up today). He did say they have a cancellation on one coming soon so may have one for me sooner than April - depends on if anyone is in line ahead of me for the Summer Rain.

 

Never mind - Blue Streak is just like my wife's 2007 Fit - metallic blue. Edited to add: Wait!! is this picture of the Blue Streak?? They told me Blue Streak is dark. I may need to change my order. If I remember I'll drive through the dealer's lot tomorrow and, if the Summer Rain is still there, take a couple of pictures.

Sorry I wasn't clear - I did see the Summer Rain - in the mid-afternoon sun in Honolulu it looks more greenish. The salesman said "teal" - the picture above is bluer than the actual color. Maybe under artificial or heavy lighting it looks bluish but in the sunlight it is actually a greenish color.

The dark blue I was referring to was my old 79 Corolla SW.

Here's a pic I took today of a Summer Rain about to be released into the wild. It was already sold when I got there on Friday, 02/17

The color - it's kinda more green but I took two pictures and this is the greenest...the color is different between the pics I took one after the other from slightly different angles. Honolulu late morning sun. As an earlier poster said: "It's my blue, green, no blue, teal, aqua - anyway it's my car".

 

It's absolutely a nice color - which is why I put down a deposit on a Summer Rain C II due in April. Reading all the posts re: Edited to add: OK - I'm wrong - all have turn signal lights in the mirrors - I feel bad again!!! specs I realize the one I took a picture of is a C IV by the turn signal lights in the mirror - I don't feel as bad as I did when I initially saw it.

Just gotta be patient and wait for MY Summer Rain C II to come in.

 

I went to the Cincinnati Auto Show and they had a Absolutely Red one there it was a Prius C two. Its about everything I think I would want at the price point. I sat in in for well over an hour. Seat is comfortable. very much felt like my Yaris in so many ways. I could not get them to but it in accessory position to see the full dash board, but the combination screen was operational and show door and hatch open using a nice vehicle outline.

 

There's a Youtube video of Japanese Aquas parading in the streets of Shizuoka which shows the colors they'll carry in the Japanese market. Other than the bright yellow, other colors should be close to what we can expect in the states but unfortunately it only shows one white so no idea how moonglow would compare to plain white.

Sorry, Yasushi. I can't find the video you're referring to. I tried a combination of words and the exact phrase you typed. I found this, though, with Ms. "Caramel Pocket." Looks like a dealer's promo for the C with a cute lil yellow C.
