Toyota just released a service bulletin T-SB-0030-12 for the Prius V (and other Toyota vehicles) on January 27, 2012 as follows: Abnormal Entune/Navigation Operation for Display Audio (Non-HDD Type) Some 2012 model year Toyota models equipped with a Display Audio Navigation System and Entune may exhibit one or more of the following conditions: • Vehicle orientation slow to update after vehicle startup • Five Bing search results are not all displayed on the map • Voice recognition destination request does not provide feedback • Voice Recognition for POI search displays "Function not available" message • "Car Multimedia" device name cannot be changed The resolution requires the dealer to simply update the software to version 1.8.4 with a USB drive plugged into the vehicle USB port on the dash. This update is now a step in the 2012 pre-delivery service check list for the Prius V so existing inventory should be updated before delivery. However, I just received my Prius V last week and when I checked the software revision level (via the display menus), I still have an older software revision that needs to be updated.
Well, had the vehicle in to deal with the rear backup beep and asked for the update. They weren't able to do it because they have to ORDER IT!?!?!?!
