Entune features disappoint. I am new to my Prius V 5. It is not ATP so it has the normal stereo. I am less than thrilled with the Entune system as there does not seem to be any value added apps. The Email is greyed out and I have no idea if or how to activate it. The tire pressure monitor is not available. And there does not seem to be any real value added apps. I am just trying to figure out if I am missing something, or is Toyota crazy for thinking I will eventially pay to use these amazing features. Any entune guru's want to chime in?
It is disappointing. No tire pressure warning display, not even low "windshield washer" sensor. My 25-year old Volvo has the low "windshield washer" sensor. If I'm correct each individual tire communicate the tire pressure to the computer on board, so why Toyota is not showing this information on the screen. Do they want us to pay extra 5K for technology package? Very disappointed :-/
Re: Entune features disappoint. Well, that part of it, along with the calendar, depends on whether or not your phone supports it. The car does, but if your phone doesn't it won't work. Additional apps to be added in "late spring" are the iHeartRadio, OpenTable and MovieTickets.
Re: Entune features disappoint. I've had iHeartRadio, MovieTickets, OpenTable, bing, and Pandora since November 2011. I have the v with ATP and Technology Package. I a big fan on Pandora...I see no need top pay for Sirius Radio once the trial period is over. I have no problems connecting to entune with my HTC Evo 4g.
Re: Entune features disappoint. Cactus, when connecting your phone to entune, I presume it is done via bluetooth. Also I guess once paired you can operate some of the functions thru the steering wheel controls. What is your overall assessment of entunes? I have a ADV tech V coming any day now.
