What's your order number? And did you complete on nov 17th?

The factory will build your car and my car when they get ready. They have some kind of system but it is not set up for us. It is set up for them.

For now, be happy for those who are getting their cars even if they were later than you and me with their order. They got lucky. Take pleasure from their happiness.

We will get our cars. (my order number is 282 and was confirmed at 9:16 am on 11/17)

 

Got the letter tonight. My order number was in the 500s and the build date was 2/7/12.

 

now i'm worried a little; just checked the My Order page where we ordered, and my order has disappeared.

Gosh, i sure hope it's just site maintenance or re-configuring.

 

That seems to happen from time to time. Mine did it once but i reloaded the page and it came back. I think it does a live check from a database and it takes too long to come up it defaults to showing as if you have no order.

 

No, many advanced trim models have already been built, including mine.

Yes, thanks. Makes sense since that's the same date I received the email which says it will be built in February. So I wasn't really confused to begin with. I log in every once in a while to check status.

 

productivity...

The build day, time of day, the color of the guy's underwear who slammed the driver's door and took it off the production line... these are all things I CAN find out (ok maybe not the underwear part), but all of this really matters minimally.

They don't float here on tiny individual rafts... they are going to be grouped on a ship and float to the port here all together.

I am not trying to be a thrill killah but some of you are denting productivity at many levels (including your own!) with questions that are not going to change anything in the long run.

One email here and there doesn't seem interruptive, but pile one on another and another then we end up buried with nonsense.

I have some VIN#'s - but WHY do you need it right now?
I have build dates that sometimes match yours and at times, they don't. Oh well.

I'm waiting for mine too. I'm excited about mine, too. But, it will get here eventually.. and CA carpool stickers won't run out this year while we all wait. Really!

By the way, my email includes the production line worker panties and bra size! That probably means that when I first turn on the radio, Neil Diamond or some such song will come blasting out....

The email included a photo - from what I can see, the car paint is still dripping wet, but they put it on a boat for me anyway! (I can see drip spots on the ramp... and some guy is pushing with his dirty hands the car up the ramp - kiss that "pear" white paint job goodbye... )

Dianne, do you deliver to the house? Don't bother with a big bow... Would prefer a long extension cord instead!!!

Maybe my fuse blew because I don't have a 15AMP in my switchpanel!

 

This is exciting - I just logged in to check my order page and only got this:





"You have no orders active currently."

 

By obsessively logging in every five minutes to check shipping status, we ended up breaking Toyota. (or maybe it was just me.)

 

I have had no trouble logging in, but my info hasn't updated. I figure maybe nobody is working on the weekend.

 

As I write this it is just before 8:00 a.m. Monday morning in Japan. I think that they do observe the same weekends that we do.

 

Out of general curiosity, how many cars can fit on these ships that bring cars over?

 

Zoweee...just checked and it was built on 2/9.....

 

As of this morning, the Japanese ship "New Century 2" has boarded my first 21 cars.
I have VIN's on all 21 of these, and of that total,
17 are base models, 4 are advanced.
