Had a shutdown with error codes P0078 and P0092 on the scan gauge. Reset the codes with a scangauge and the car goes drives fine. This has not repeated for a couple of days but I was wondering where to see a list of Gen2 codes so that I can better understand what happened. Thanks, Dan
Dan, I can't find anything for 0078 or 0092. Could it have possibly been P0a78 and P0a92? Those are HV drive-motor performance codes -- possible related to too much current from your Enginer pack?
Hi Seilerts, Yes, I am comming to that conclusion also. This came from an Enginer User that just installed a replacement converter. But his system indicates a max of 14.1a and 244v. Those levels should not throw codes unless the calibration is off on those readings. By the way I can make my 2005 shutdown for this problem if I use 2 converters, but I have only gotten the P9000 code on the scangauge. Maybe the 2005 did not talk as well to the scangauge. However, what I would really like to know is if someone can direct me to a list of codes so that I can keep that list in my file of information for the future. Thanks, Dan
hybrids.ru and selidori.com/tech/prius for download. Or, for the about same price as a 3 day subscription to TIS, you can get the Bentley manual from Amazon.
I got the P0A92 code a few times recently on my 2005 prius with Enginer kit [v4 bms]. driving with kit on and suddenly power decreases, engine races, and dash triangle and engine lights come on. Simple pull-over, car off, kit off, wait and restart clear the driving problem, but codes and lights remain. Any ideas what causes and how to avoid?
Hi Randy, Your converter is probably set too high. Go to your installer and get it measured and adjusted. This is a known issue with the Enginer PHEV system. Thanks, Dan
