Prius Plug-in Page - The 'My Order' page now has updated order information

As of this morning, I have 22 cars built for sure - I know this because I have full VIN#'s and a different detail code to sort by.

Of those 22 units, if I sort by color, I see 5 white, 1 silver, 1 sea glass, 7 gray and 8 blue.

If I sort by model, 6 are advanced, and 16 are regular model.


That's just a small overview of my total orders (155) but it's a start.
Please also keep in mind that some of you have low order #'s but didn't confirm as fast as others. Meaning, if they ARE assigning cars based on #, there are 13 other states who are also getting cars ... and you are also competing with a huge variety of wild cards there. If they said they'd build in a certain time frame and you're getting your car in that time frame, then I seriously think they are performing to the best of their ability under the circumstances... because you have no idea the ins and outs of production.

I will also say that I haven't got the patience or the toleration for whining about some of this. Splitting hairs about order confirmation times and finalization order times and color and models getting here earlier... it's all estimated and regardless of what's built today, NOTHING has left Japan yet.

Some of the more analytical and intense folks here create a set of circumstances where I am reluctant to post any information at all due to some of you NOT being understanding about Toyota's limitations for production and shipping. I don't have to share anything here. I choose to.

There are 22 cars that APPEAR to have been built - and I say this because these cars have a VIN# that I can see as opposed to 90 others that still show a temporary # in my screen - meaning just because I can't SEE a VIN# displayed to me doesn't mean that it's not built, it just means I can't see it.

Their order # is listed here for the SOLE purpose of the folks who are keeping track of their # to see and match up with. If nit picking persists, I'm done here in this thread! :: stomping feet ::

Mine is a Clearwater blue Advanced and not due for early build. Mine isn't supposed to be built til the last week of Feb/1st week of March. And i was #90 on the list, confirmed from Dianne at 9:24 on the day of ordering. Seems like there's a lot of variables at play here. I'm just excited to be getting a new car hopefully in the next month or 2. Getting it a week or 2 earlier than someone else isn't a big deal, i'm excited either way!

 

I just love you early adapters! I going to wait till the dust settles and after about a year I'll see if i'm interested. Got to wait on you beta testers to wring out the kinks in the 1st year.

I received a very terse email from Toyota a few minutes ago with what looks like parts of a VIN #. I checked online and my order page updated overnight. It shows an actual build date of 2/8/2012.

I found your post extremely helpful. It allowed an analysis to see if there was a color pattern or advanced/base pattern for the first couple of shipments. I didn't see any nitpicking in this thread. Actually, it's all pretty exciting.

I'm surprised that more Priuschatters didn't enter their info in the spreadsheet. We can get an even better idea of what's coming and when, if they do.

 

Got my cryptic email, but what do the numbers mean? VIN?

Website shows a 2/8/2012 build date. - later updated to 2/1/2012.

 

I haven't gotten an email yet, but I checked the website and "Manufacturing month" says 2/8/2012. I assume that since Japan is many hours ahead of us, that means my car has already been built! Order number is 84. How exciting

Mine too, except the date of 2/8/2012 is on the same line as "Manufacturing Month". Then the next line below says "Confirmed".

 

Add me to the list squirming in their seats like an excited puppy getting his belly rubbed.

The message I received was "Your Plug-in was built 2/6/2012"

My order #is 256 & confirmed time 9:16 if that information is of any help to anyone.

 

What did the web page show for "Manufacturing Month"?.
The "Your Plug-In was built" is still blank on mine.
