Is Prius actually a "gay" car?

When I see people driving around in their Priuses, the only assumption I make about them is that they care about fuel efficiency and the enironment....

 

The poll is all wrong, the question should be what cars gay people drive most and if the Prius is a car gay people would choose first.
But back to this poll: to see if it's a gay car you shoud see if the percentages of gay people that own a Prius is lower or higher then the percentages of drivers that are gay.

So if 25% of the Prius owners are gay and 20% of all drivers are gay you could say that the Prius does very well in the gay community.

Am I still making sense :blink:

 

The whole question is stupid to begin with and I just wish this thread would go away.

Don't know about gay but my Prius is definitely a Naturist er Naturalist..um it's naked! The brazen thing doesn't even wear a bra..sports or otherwise.

 

My Prius has never shown any tendency towards homosexuality. It's not currently in a relationship, but generally seems attracted to cars of the opposite gender.

I think a better question is whether a car's sexual preference is something it is made with or if it's upbringing and environmental factors bring about it's tendencies.

 

I must confess.. I've having internet sex with my prius.... I actually haven't met her in person yet!

It's pretty interesting from the Marketing point of view since targeting the gay population on specific brands of products is a real marketing practice. But I guess you can also consider Land Rover, Jaguar, and Volvo as "gay" too.

I figure about 1 in 10 prius are gay.

A PT cruiser on the other hand is way gay.

For all the squeemish priuschatters out there - gay cars will not hide in the closet any more. They won't "just go away", or "nuance" themselves right out of here; they are going to wear their little rainbow bumper stickers proudly.

 

I always love seeing the "celebrate diversity" bumper stickers on cars (or equivalents thereof (i.e. upside down pink triangle)), and looking in to see what the drivers look like. More often than not, and I freely admit this, I'll be like, "Wow, he/she doesn't look gay". Then again, come to think of it, probably an equal amount of times, I'll take one glance and think, "Yup, definitely."

if about 50% of people who are gay or close/supportive family of people who are gay put a rainbow sticker on their cars, then I'd say way more than 10% of people are gay.

...but still roughly 37% of PT cruiser drivers

 

I suppose if driving a technologically advanced car with great features that gets over 50 mpg, saves resources, and is considered an ultra low emission vehicle, is the definition of gay, I am willing to wear the label.

I am not really in tune with the latest lingo, but there is a 20 something individual in the office that uses the word 'gay' to define pretty much anything. I doesn't end up having much meaning much like this thread .

From what I can tell, it may be used to mean quirky, unique, not normal, out of the ordinary, dumb, unacceptable or not to ones liking.

I believe the over usage of the word may be due to a lack of adjectives in the vocabulary or maybe just too lazy to recall more than a couple words. Whatever the case, using one of those definitions, you could be describing anything, including the Prius.

Enjoy being unique. It won't be too long before it's not an out of the ordinary vehicle.

I always thought gay carried feminine qualities.... the prius is far too technical to be gay.

 

If it is true that my Prius is gay, I believe that it is a beautiful lipstick lesbian . . . with Salsa Red lips, of course.

The empirical data:

1) Girls are attracted to it.
Teenage girls especially seem attracted, even though it is a little different than they are use to - they are in the experimental stage of their lives - but they already have boys figured-out and really don’t give a crap about what guys think. They say the Prius is cute, or that they love the car . . . and that someday they want one too.

2) Guys are both attracted and repulsed at the same time.
Some guys think that if given the chance, they could convert a lipstick lesbian Prius into a straight penis loving Prius by driving it long and hard like a real man would. “I’d drive that Prius like she’s never been driven before. I’d drive her till she moaned and squealed and realized that she was meant to be handled by a real man.â€

Personally, I don’t mind being a dyke tyke for my beautiful lipstick lesbian Prius.

I asked my daughter yesterday if cars were feminine or masculine. She speaks French fluently, and I know inanimate objects in that language are considered to have a gender. (This made no sense to me in Grade 8 - my one attempt at French - and about as much now) Apparently, all cars are girls. Fortunately, though it doesn't help us here, sexual orientation is not specified.

But what about that pink Hummer down the block? Pink says one thing, Hummer another. Hmmm. Maybe I'll park Silver next to it so they can talk - that's all - and I'll ask Silver later.

 

If girls are attracted to it... it must be masculine?.... you could even call it a male tool to get women?

I won't comment on your second part... that speaks for itself... we'll be lucky if they don't haul us all in for that one! :lol: :lol: :lol:
