They didn't have a white 2012 in my zip code to build, so I had to use silver and black. I can update later.
The pictures are much lighter than the light gray softex in my 2012 BP 4. It is almost impossible to get it right, but the dash is almost black -- very dark gray and the seats are lighter (but not as light as the misty gray in your pictures. I think people just have to see them in person to know what they really look like. Nice pictures, though. I especially like the overhead shots.
OK, the sticker on my window says LB10. It is slightly 2 tone. It is supposed to be light gray, but I am beginning to think it is the dark gray. Are the codes posted anywhere? Whatever the color is, I love it, and I wouldn't want it darker.
I love that two toned color combination especially on the dark gray. And I LOOOVE my new Prius with dark gray. About time they made these things darker on the inside. =P
Dark Gray fabric is this.. I've found some mistakes on build you own, like the solar roof Prius Four does not list having HDD nav, nor GreenEdge.
True. The pics of the 2012 Dark Gray aren't exactly accurate, as they're still showing the gray dash and center console when they're supposed to be black. It might just be the pre-production photo and it's actually more two-tone just like the Dark Gray fabric above.
So Dark Grey went from medium grey to nearly black with a slight two-tone. It looks very nice in real life. The Misty Grey looks plain now without the contrasting elements.
I think if I were to get a 2012 in SofTex, I'd go for either Dark Gray or Bisque depending on the exterior color rather than the now monotone Misty Gray. Or if buying in cloth, Dark Gray and upgrade to leather in a more exotic color like burgundy or blue (which would go well with the nearly black interior).
Agree. I preferred Misty Grey for the contrast (but I ended up with Dark Grey since that's what they had coming in). You could always do what TMC has for Japan (those LED Special Editions Prii) and go with a black/blue or black/brown two-tone seats.
Thanks for posting these pictures, 32kcolors. So, is the dark gray leather on the 2010-11s actually a medium gray?
Yes, it's more medium than dark gray. The seating surface appears to be two-tone, but it's not two-tone like the new Dark Gray or old Misty Gray with contrasting panels on the doors.
The entire carpet is now charcoal/black in the 2012. That should make the lighter colors (Misty Gray and Bisque) a lot easier to keep clean. Especially around the dead pedal and kick panel areas.
Would someone look at the window sticker on these cars and report the color number (it is in the same area as the car color name) for each color? The color names aren't on the sticker, and I REALLY want to know what color my seats are. They appear much darker than the misty gray and they are two tone, but it was supposed to be light gray. I like the color it is, and I'm not complaining. I just want to know what color it really is. The number on mine reads: Blizzard Pearl/LB10 (0070/10). The 70 is Blizzard Pearl, the 10 is the interior color number.
I find it strange that Toyota does not list the interior color on the window sticker -- it made it almost impossible to tell the interior color -- especially in the evening. People here seem to place the 2011 misty gray in third place -- but I have to say I like the MG leather with the pearl white. It was either that or the blue ribbon with bisque ... and some in the clan did not like that. I wanted the white/ bisque .... but none where available. In reality .... the colors are not all that different.
