Awesome, now THAT made it onto my background - looks sweet @ 1920x1200! Nice use of Eco mode, and it would appear from the route trace on your NAV that you were going in circles?
I have to agree with that. Kinda harkens back to some of those "Tokyo-by-night" dashboards of around 30 years ago. It is a great photo, none-the-less.
yep - it's quite cool. I'm sure some will say - wish it was on a dimmer or able to be turned off. Small square of electrical tape will do...
Question: Does the shifter spotlight have automatic on/off, or did that add too much weight, cost too much money, put too much strain on the light, etc.?
I believe it only lights at night, but then again...that's the only time I have my lights on. I know it's tied to the lights being on, but I'm not sure if it has a sensor to turn it off if people prefer to drive with their lights on during the day.
That "Gear Shift knob" seems like a real waste. First, there are no gears to shift. Second, it is just an electrical switch assembly. I wish that Toyota would have just put a small switch assembly on the dashboard. Seems like that big knob just gets in the way. Keith
Like you, I wish it was on a switch or dimmer. In my 2011 Prius III, I think it's too bright. It almost washes out and renders useless the backlighting on the heater and radio controls. I think I'd be happy if I could change the color of the bulb to blue or something else less noticeable. Has anyone done this yet? Shawn
Does anybody know if the spotlight can be replaced by a blue led? If so, where would one go to buy that?
