As the owners of the new Prius v rack up miles with the ownership. Someone will reach 100,000 miles in about 6 months. So, I figure I start the thread. If you have not reached 100,000 miles yet. Feel free to report your mile progress and share your overall ownership with others. For the 200k miles club please go here. Prius v: 200,000 miles club | PriusChat
6 months from now, the very first Prius vs will be about 9 months old, so 100,000 in 9 months?? That's about 370 miles per day. Driving at a constant 65MPH, you're in your car for about 5.7 hours per day. If anyone achieves this, I'd be worried about their health, posture, and social life. But I digress, we have about 3500miles on our v 3, been very happy with it for about 2.5 months now!
Purchased our Prius v November 18, 2011. Current mileage is 5,293. Average fuel economy consistently 47 mpg's or above.
pdp, That famous person is "2 fas 4 u". He recently traded in his 2009 Prius with 465K miles. He drives about 12K-13K per month. In less than 9 months, his v will cross 100K miles! 2 fas, We are all waiting for your v to cross 100K
On 11/22/11 "The Blueberry" rolled off the lot with 4 miles on the odometer. Eleven weeks later it now has 8623 miles on it. :car:
Don't forget that cab drivers can put 100,000 miles in a year (ok that's 3 more months than what was stated above) so it's possible. Delivery drivers and taxi cabs will the highest milers so a Prius or Prius v will help immensely with fuel and maintenance cost.
UPDATE: 10000 1. At 5000 rotated tires 2. At 10000 changed oil and filter Rotated tires. I was reading that 3.9 - 4 quarts was needed. After the drain from a 5 gallon container it showed almost 4.5 Before the change my oil level was almost on the 2nd bar just slightly below. After I finished I used maybe 4.2 quarts and my level is a little lower than the factory fill.
I would say 47 - 50 is what im getting on a regular basis. The wind was blowing heavy this past saturday, on my way back from miami, I managed a 45 mpg. Other than that she is good.
Hey, good to see you around these parts. How do you like the vee compared to the 2009? Do you find it more comfortable on your daily long drives? The vee's seats and posture are much more comfortable for me but I haven't found the best steering wheel-to-seat combination yet. My left sholder gets a cramp-like pain after a while. I end up putting my left hand on the bottom of the steering wheel, which relieves it.
Have nothing to complain about, she is a beauty, not taking anything from the 2009. Everything in the 2012 is perfect for me. This will be the last car for me. With that im very happy.
Jesus, 2 fas 4 u must be a trucker using his prius for long-haul special deliveries. Crazy, but kudos to you man. Or maybe you work for Toyota? LOL I guess we'll be waiting for you 2 fas 4 u!
12K per month? In a 30 day month, that's driving 400miles per day, which is approximately the distance between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I used to be in a long distance relationship and drove down to LA from SF often, but doing it everyday is crazy! What do you do for a living 2 fas 4 u, if you don't mind me asking? (maybe the answer will be drive around in my Prius )
2 fas, I went back to read your posts in 299K thread. You bought your V around 1/23/2012. That's only 3 weeks ago and you already crossed 10K. My goodness...
