Well after months and months of research and going back and forth... I finally purchased the 2012 Prius yesterday! Here is a link to the flickr set. http://tinyurl.com/85vwn27 I just wanted to thank everyone for all their help in helping me make the decision and even saving money! I will probably do a short video of the car interior exterior later if anyone is interested. Now on to the accessories!! Which of course i have questions on... Does anyone know if the 2011 accessories will fit the 2012? For instance, the rear bumper protector, the engine block heater, and winter floor mats??? Thanks again everyone! Attached 1 or 2 photos here as well.
Love the redesigned front bumper skin. When the part is available I might just switch it out on my 10.
We took 50, so it was South Lake Tahoe. Got there just after the sun fell down over the mountain. I didn't want to speed... lol =O Averaged 53mpg from Placerville to Reno. Thanks Rebound, hopefully they will, just want to be sure is all. edit: fixed the link to flickr.
Nice! I should have looked at how far the shoreline was in the back. Dinner is not quite that large. LOL Congrats on the purchase. You're going to love it. Just remember what I said about dedicated winter tires. All-season tires lose a lot of stopping ability below 40 degrees whereas winter snow tires are designed to stay pliable in cold temps so traction and stopping distances are not compromised.
Thanks f8l, I think I am going to try and wing it with the OEM tires for the rest of winter, and then next year grab some snow tires. And ya, Tahoe is a LOT bigger. =O
Hey Sa177, Let me know if you need a recommended dealer, I have a few in the NorCal area that I shopped around with.
It does have the sound generator, no it's not selectable in the settings options. I plan on "digging" into that a little later. But honestly, I barely hear the thing. And when I do, I laugh because it sounds like a shuttle craft. The thing that bugs me is the reverse beep noise, but I believe I saw a thread on here on how to disable that.
