New Member (Copman) I just bought my first Prius over the weekend in Vegas (I live in Arizona). Traded in my 11 year old BMW Z3, which caused a bit of terror on the faces of my friends. Having never been in or driven a Prius I was not sure what to expect as I only really wanted more MPG driving to work. Imagine my surprise when the Prius responded like a much larger car and I actually enjoyed driving it. All I could do was polish it all weekend getting ready to drive it to work on Monday...In short, I love this car more than any other new vehicle I have ever owned....and I have owned a bunch... My first fill-up today revealed 46 MPG, which seems pretty good to me given most of my driving is in hill areas and my break-in period is still in progress.. I love having access to the useful information that I have found here.. and have several of the goodies ordered for my new Prius.. By the way it is Barcleona Red with Oak interior and I simply love it.
Welcome & have fun with the battery regeneration when going downhill. Enjoy the drastic miles per gallon compared to your last car. *I'm a true believer now too. Take some pictures of your car.
Hi copman, Welcome The Prius rocks, I have almost 8 thousand on mine (winter grey) and love every mile so far this mixture of professionals get all the answers to the questions we throw at them with accurate results.
For those who wanted to see my new Prius...photos are attached. You can also see that I have removed the factory wheel covers, added side mouldings, and added side pinstripes.
