Hi guys We're running a 2008 Prius as a taxi and have clocked up 540,940 kilometers to date. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to add on these kilometers to a new combination meter that is getting put in...? Anyone? Cheers!
S Yep... Google's a great unit converter. Just query for: 540,940 km in miles Some other great examples: 6 L per 100 km in mpg 50 mpg in teaspoons per mile 10000 furlongs per fortnight in mph and so on...
I don't know how it's done, but theres a member here -- Peef -- who fixes combination meters who can change the mileage on them. It was my understanding that when you ordered a new meter, you told them what mileage you wanted on the new meter and it was done for you before it shipped.
I think pEEf actually repairs a faulty component, at least that was my understanding from reading about 2 fas 4 u in the 299,999 thread. http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-main-forum/79235-299-999-mile-club-45.html pEEf: EVSE Upgrade - Products
Yep, that's what the TSB at http://priuschat.com/forums/toyota-...9-combination-meter-intermittent-display.html says.
Yes but the unit I had was supplied with 0km as they had already obtained it from the manufacturer. Anyway it's in now, with 2km on the clock haha
Hi guys, and thanks for your help. Unfortunately the supplier of the new board (Toyota dealer) just gave me the unit without the previous kilometers being loaded as per the information previously posted. I guess they just had a blank one in stock so that's what I got. Anyway I tackled the problem myself and installed the board and now the car is back out working fine with only one day off the road and now it only reads 1km! Ha ha. If anyone knows a way to clock up the legitimate kilometers please let me know. Regards
tableround had his fixed, ask him? http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...-replaced-combination-meter-195-000-km-2.html
Wow where in Australia are you? Are you on an original battery? How does it drive with such high kilometres?
I can't answer your question but please tell us more about your car! Have you owned the car since new? 100% taxi service? How has this car been maintained? Original batteries? Have you had to do any major repairs?
Wow, I think for most people, saying my car uses less than 14 teaspoons of gas per mile would sound much more impressive. People know what a teaspoon looks like and that's an absolutely miniscule amount of gas to visualize driving a mile on. Nifty!
PriusTaxi496----------- I have to replace my combination meter about every 200,000 km on all 4 of my Prius taxi's. I have a computer dispatch gps system wired into the car and also a security camera along with the motorola radio. It seems to be a little too much and almost like clockwork every 190,000 to 230,000km the combination meter goes. I have never had the km added on to the new meter the garage that changes it for me notes the km's before swithching.
