Since my wife insists on keeping her car in the garage, mine is relegated to the cold outdoors. I would like to install a remote starter so that I can warm up the car and melt the frost on the windows while still inside my cozy warm house. Dealer says that it is not recommended as the electric systems are too complex. Has anyone tried this anyway ?
I've been wondering the same thing. Iowa doesn't get as cold as some areas, but it is bad enough sometimes - the forecasted high for tomorrow is just 6 degrees  (thats around -14 for you Celsius people). I have control of the garage, so my fiancee's car is outside, but I would love to look out my office window and start the car to give it a little extra warm-up time before heading home. Has anyone else looked into this?
