So for a 2010 III, i'm intersted in finding a solution for cleaning the headlamps while driving. I live in a rural area and commute to the city. During the winter especially, there is enough dust, sand, slush and crud that it reduces my light output to barely usable - not to mention that it probably defocuses the light and causes glare for other drivers. Has anyone located the OEM parts to add this option - or even an aftermarket or homebrew solution?
I don't think anything is out on the market that has such a function. But you can always DIY it. Find cars equipped with the headlight washing nozzles and cut into your bumper and tap into your windshield washer hose.
i wish you had blizzard pearl... For all the trouble, as much as I hate to say it, it seems like it might be just as effective to keep a bottle of spray cleaner and paper towels in the car and wipe them down before I drive off. Sometimes the simple solution is the best one.
