Well I couldnt take having scratched rims so I had them painted in my Blizzard Pearl color and let me say..SWEET!
Have had a few chips on my wheels Don't know what from,Rocks? Have some silver touch up paint from my 09 Prius,Seems to match for light touch up! And yes still happy with my PKG V/five/5!
I have the IV and love it! If they'd had a V in stock I would've got one but they didn't and said they rarely did. Suppose I miss not having the solar roof the most. Nav and 17" tires would be nice but I can live without them. I mostly wanted the leather package out of all the big ticket items that were available and my IV came with that.
Overall, I am very pleased with the car. The only gripe I have with the car is the interior color selection - no black option. I usually prefer black since it shows age and wear better than bisque, but I can live with this oversight. Otherwise, I love this thing and plan to drive it into the ground.
I will once I wash my car as I have to wait a week before I can wash them. My baby looking more like Blizzard Grey right now.
Had ours about 2 weeks now and love it. We upgraded from the 2005 package 2, and the difference is night & day. We've never had a car as nice as this one - it feels like we're in a high-end Lexus or something like that. We love the leather interior, heated seats, and NAV package. Compared to our '05, this is truly a luxury vehicle. I guess it depends on what you're used to driving, but we couldn't be happier w/ the upgrade to a 2011 pkg. 5.
Here you all go of the painted rims in BP. They look really good in the sun but its been raining all day so these will do for now enjoy.
More than happy! The bisque interior had me a little worried, But so far so good seems to be wearing fine! 2 years, Also find it very easy to clean.I think it go's well with the lighter colors.
It took a minute to come in but was a breeze to install. I would suggest that you remove a bit of the tape on each end and place it just on the outside of the fin. That way you can "set" the fin in place and do a visual walk around. When I lined it up at first it looked way off but that was probably from the reflections in my garage. I will be installing some Tanabe TFD153 springs when they arrive. Also waiting on my front license plate color matching holder to come in along with signal mirrors. You can always order now and wait for your baby to come...
The temptation is certainly there to collect parts. One part I did buy is a E85 conversion as I run that in my SUV now. My wife says May is when she will buy the car for me Man I have been renting Prii since 2009 and finally get to own one this spring. Where did you buy the shark fin from? Was it painted already or needs to be sprayed? And finally,,, California plate in New Jersey Mike :tea:
To answer the "NJ" question, I'm in the Air Force as an air traffic controller. Believe me I can't wait to get back to Cali!! Curious on that E85 kit The fin is painted in 070 and most of my parts come from Sigma Automotive – Toyota Hybrid Prius 2010+ OEM & JDM auto accessories
Don't know anything about these Tanabes TFD153? But I like my Tanabe NF210! Install was a snap. Pics here:http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...nally-tanabe-210s-springs-installed-pics.html This car should come this way Improved handling and looks of course.
The TDF153 is the part number Tanabe has for the DF210 spring set. Did you install a sturt tower bar?
Ha, I probably talk to you occasionally when I fly out of N14 assuming you work Approach at the RAPCON I'm thinking of. Still waiting for my 2012 Prius Five to arrive that I put a deposit down on in October. But it'll have a HUD and not Park Assist!
