I was trying to post an image out of the pressroom site. I think it's too heavy or intense to go here. I realize that at the front of the Priuschat site - the green car you see there is the same photo ... so that's sea glass!
They are not wheel covers. The PiP comes with 15" solid aluminum alloy rims (no wheel covers) which are unique to only the PiP.
Here's a closeup of the PiP's 15" unique alloy rims: And here's the wheel covers on the 2012 Prius: I love the shot of the car Dianne, thanks for sharing it. I'll also post a pic I took of the sea glass pearl last year:
I didn't figure out a way to insert it. http://pressroom.toyota.com/album_display.cfm?album_id=717§ion_id=411 That link is there, and there are many great pics of the sea glass cars there. The 2012 Prius hatchbacks are coming VERY SOON in sea glass pearl, so once we receive one here, I can get far better "real world" shots and some good angles and shadows ... not the factory beauty shots! Although they do a very good job at portraying these lighter pastels.
It's a chameleon. It looks pale blue in photos but in other photos, it's pretty obviously pale green. Like a light, light sea glass!! It's very appropriately named!
There's spray to cut the grease. I used to use it on my Lexus 400h and it did very nicely. A little scrubbing and viola!
Plastic bristles? Don't want to scratch wheels just pick up a wheel cleaning brush at local auto parts....
I like the way the color looks in people's avatars (who are getting a PiP) but I do not like how 'blue' it looks in some of the Toyota pictures. I would have mistaken it for my Clearwater Blue! I still have not gotten out to a local dealer to see the Clearwater Blue in person. Although... It's not like I can switch now anyway.
