Introducing the Blizzard Brigade

Just picked up a 2011 prius ii Blizzard Pearl with the light grey interior two weeks ago. Love it so far.
What does everyone use to wash and protect the exterior. I'm thinking about picking up some "zaino" products. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff on this color?

Wow just champed out my dash led conversion and let me say SO SEXY!!! Next project the steering wheel and side door panels along with the remaining dash buttons except the power button....I have a surprise for you guys...

Totally off this topic, but I see you are an expert with lots of experience, so I trust your opinion.

I went to place an order for a new 2012 Prius HB, and wanted to get it in the new color Sea Glass Pearl. The sales mgr at the dealership told me the computer did not allow the order and that SET does not allow order of that color?

The color is what I would call a tropical green, and living in South Florida, it just doesn't make any sense to me that the SE region would not be allowed that color?

Any clarification or help is appreciated.

So were you able to add the glowing emblem without interfering with DRCC?

 

Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) is not the reason that SET (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North and. South Carolina) does not have or have not ordered that color. SET is one of the last 2 independent distributors left from the day one of Toyota in the US. It is part of the Moran Group and all dealers in the SET area must get their vehicles from SET. As an independent distributor they can order what they want from TMS and not order what they don't want.

Please keep in mind that when SET became an independent Toyota distributor, Toyota was a small little spec in the automobile market and did not have the ability to set up a nationwide distribution system. TMS has purchased all the independents in the continental US with the exception of SET and Gulf States Toyota (GST) back in the 80s. SET and GST would not sell their distributorships back to Toyota.

That said GST (my region) does not have problems ordering or preferencing anything from TMS as long as you find a dealer that knows what they are doing.

 

Negative, the logo is on the rear of the car. I wouldnt want it in the front anyway.

 

I know I have a Blizzard but that color is really sexy too!! I hope you are able to get your request best of luck.

 

Cool. I didn't look at the picture too carefully and thought you had carbon fiber hood or something.

 

Its not a problem. I know I have an amount of JDM parts but I'm not trying to go full on racer hehe.

My 2012 4 BP was delivered on Monday. LOVE IT. Light gray interior that isn't very light ;-).

 

Aloha congratulations and welcome, I wish I had the Light Grey interior instead of Bisque, oh well you take what you can get.

 

What % is the tint?
