Yes, sorry, it's another light thread. I am planning on going with the ijdmtoy 326 light set because it includes the 5 SMD parking lights that I've read about in previous threads, and also because the LEDs this includes would cost me over $100 over at superbrightled. I've been reading that the superbrightled parking lights have been burning out on people, but have not seen any real complaints about the ijdmtoy set. So, how is the long term outlook for LED parking lights since I am seeing threads go back a couple of years, but no real word lately on if people are having good/bad luck with their LEDs. I'm most worried about longevity, but I am also concerned about melting the light housing which would suck.
No problems so far with my ijdmtoys and others have had this brand longer than I have with no issues. Don't worry about the light housing melting. If it were common, it'd spread like a wildfire here and you'd know.
I use the 5LED Super Bright LED for my parking lights for over 2 years now. Not ONE problem and I'm still on my original set. I wouldn't worry about it, honestly. You'll be just fine. I think the problem arises when you try and fit fixtures that have more than 5 LEDs. Then you start having issues from what I've seen. 5 is fine.
Thanks for the responses everyone, looking forward to making my car look like a stadium @ night, hehe.
Someone after my own heart! lol! I just recently sent off my headlights, turn signals, and foglights to all be customized, and told them to do everything weird and funky possible, cause I tend to like sticking out (at least that's what I've been accused of!)..
Oh, they're doing a ton of different things to totally customize the insides of the light fixtures (w/wiring involved), plus painting stuff, and I'd NEVER feel comfortable trying to do anything myself to modify one of my headlights... I'd for sure not even know where to begin! lol
