I have a 2010 Prius and the GPS seems to have malfunctioned. The map still displays as you drive, but pressing the "Dest" button no longer brings up the menu of options. My wife removed and then replaced the DVD for the GPS, then we turned the car off and then on a few times, and the problem still exists. Anyone ever encounter anything like this on a 2010 Prius? Also, I have not checked, but I hope that this will be covered by the extended warranty. Thanks for any information.
This is the first I have heard of one of the Nav buttons not working. Is this the only button not working on the Nav? If so, it may just be a dirty contact and can be cleaned. I would think that this would be covered by extended warranty but it depends on the warranty. Next time, post in the Gen III section of the forum and not the Prius v section.
Sorry about the post in the wrong section. I am blaming the 2 1/2 glasses of champagne I had last year (last night!)!
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem with my 2010 Prius. Tried upgrading to a new version, but it didn't work. When I put old map DVD back in, the buttons are all screwy. For example, Destination button changes audio source. Several other buttons don't work properly either. The problem usually corrects itself after awhile, but comes back randomly. Also, does anyone know if this is something that is covered by the extended warranty?
Same problem here....it comes and goes, but this time it won't go away. So frustrating. The button is controlling the radio stations. Any resolution?
