Hello all Have just noticed one of the front IPA sensors on the side of my front bumper is missing. No sign of anyone vandalising the car & popping it out. There is a very light bumper scuff on the lower front corner but thats it. Is it possible it may not have been secured properly & over time (vibration when driving etc) just fallen right out?
I doubt it just fell out by itself because of vibrations; I say that because I live in NYC and the car get rattled around quite a bit and I've had no problems. But who knows, I guess anything could be possible. You say there is a scuff, maybe you nicked something like a parking bumper and it was enough the flex something making it loose/pop out etc.
Sounds like roads in NYC are as bad as those here in the UK. The scuff has been there quite a while - im assuming another car scuffed it in a car park at some stage. As i mentioned, its only a very light scuff & as its on the lower front corner (by the fog light) i cant imagine it could have flexed the bumper that much. Any idea how its fixed in?
I agree with Paradox. It must've received some sort of an impact (as indicated by the light scuff) in order to loosen it and it couldn't have fallen out just because of vibrations.
Front IPA sensor - How is it fixed in? Hello All I posted a thread in the main forum yesterday because one of my front IPA sensors is missing http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...01758-sensor-front-bumper-ipa-fallen-out.html Does anyone know how these are fixed in ? Any idea on the likely cost to replace it?
