Got around to connecting my Bluetooth phone to the new v Five today. Awhile later, I thought for a moment something had fallen off the car, or I had hit an errant cow. But no --- it as the PHONE ringing! It's an absolutely hilarious rendition of a hollow sounding cowbell clanking insistently, and it seems to go on and on before it picks up he phone (if it does so at all -- all three calls I got today I gave up and hit the "off the hook" button on the steering wheel to pick up). Gonna have to RTFM and find out how to change that. I assume there are several hundred options available . . .
The unit won't automatically pick up the call, you have to hit the off hook switch or the button on the screen to pick up. Or just hit the on hook to send to voicemail. There aren't too many ringtone options though. On the ATP I think there's a grand total of 5.
Glad to know I can change it. I also HATE the flip phone that pops up...Wth were they thinking with that?
MBRGuru -- Then that's a large step backwards from my Gen II. I can't imagine why they would install voice recognition, eliminating one reason to remove your eyes from the road, then require you to find a button before the caller hangs up. Dumb, IMHO.
Yes, It took me by surprise too..look in the settings and change it. I changed it to the female voice option "You have an incoming call!" My wife is jealous of her
I don't know if I like that. My Gen II Prius uses the phones ringtone as the bluetooth ringtone. Everytime I get a phone call, my iPhone's ringtone is the one I hear.
On the right side of the navigation system select setup. Then select phone. The first thing that comes up Is select ringtone. The 5th one down is phone ringtone. --- I am here: [ame="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=29.414588,-94.702636"]Google Maps[/ame]
