I can't get the positive fuse case to open to install my hid relay. Can anyone show me which tabs to pull? Here is the picture with an arrow pointing to it. just copy and paste that link, pc won't let me add urls
Toyotas are really easy to work on, at least the Prius. Unfortunately it is difficult to get there. One always feels as tho something is going to break. Back to subject: there are tabs on top and bottom, use your finger and pull up on tabs, HARD and it will give, it's all plastic. I cut 1/2 tabs when I first got the car to make it easier. Use force! You included no picture, no link.
Thanks andyprius, I thought it would attach the image, well here it is. I'll put some force on it and let you guys know how it turns out. www.priuschat.com/forums/attachment...d-lights-in-winter-gray-prius-iv-cimg1135.jpg
Maybe I am totally off base, but on mine and most others the positive terminal is under that red cover at the top of the fuse box. I am unfamiliar with your links arrow. How did the HID relay get removed?
You need two little screw drivers (my tip was 4mm wide). It's easier with two but I used one and poked one tab at a time. Poke that little square tab and push the screwdriver inward to pop the tab outward while wiggling the cover up. Then do the other square tab and pry again while wiggling it some more. Then reach down and you see a plastic hinge pin looking connection toward the front of that cover. You want to pull up like removing a pin out of a door hinge. Don't be afraid to break it. The little hinge piece is flexable and pops out with force up and toward the front of the car. My text is in red. (I borrowed the pic) I just tried it. my2cents.
