is this a 1999 or 2000 Japan market Prius imported into Russia as I do believe their codes are different than the NA Prius codes. The Japanese market Prius is not OBD11 compliant. IE: their codes are not the same as ours. If this is the case your better off posting to one of the Japanese Prius sites.

I have looked and looked in the Service manual and can find nothing with a C prefix. I think that we need many more details.

I for one am glad that it came out this way, I looked, and looked through the manuals and could find nothing. I was beginning to doubt my self. Am I getting too old to look some thing up.

Maybe I should post this particular pet peeve in Fred's or the Website Questions forums....but I'll babble on here.

People, you need to include a full description with all pertainent information if you want a good usable answer.

This is a case in point....This poster KNEW this was a predominantly USA forum. He knew he had a non-USA car. For pet's sake, Tell us what year, package, mileage, COUNTRY (though US is assumed here for the most part), reason for your question, full description of the problem, solutions you've tried, other answers you've gotten before, other places you've looked for answers, personal theories, etc.

99% of all basic questions have been asked and answered here multiple times over already. If you have a truely unique question we need all the available data to give a useful answer.

Although it might seem friendly to post a short question it is frustrating for some of us to need to keep returning to the same thread only to find out 12 posts into it that we aren't even looking at a USA model car! That is truely inconsiderate of the time and energy some of us put in here to try to be helpful.

Yikes...rant over...I'm going to have a beer now.

Well I would guess that you are not on call tonight! I have to agree the more info the better. Car country of origin, general location, DTC, and anything else the devil is in the details. There are people all around the world that can answer questions but they need data. The US Service Manual will not help some one in Europe, Asia etc. Help everyone out.
