Hi there! I'm not new to this site, but wanted to share my new ride with you all. Meet my new CT200h. Starfire Pearl - Black Nuluxe interior with Ocean Blue seats - F sport package includes the Trident dark graphite finish, F sport suspension, custom grill inserts, leather trimmed steering wheel, fender badges and yes, the custom TUMI F series luggage set. Remote touch console "mouse", Navigation with Lexus enform and safety connect and backup camera. This car is almost fully loaded, except for the memory seats. My personal view of the vehicle are as follows: Beautiful and eye catching car. To those who know the F series, they stare and nod with positive acknowledgement. Love the ocean blue seats. Driving it is awesome. Tried the standard CT but opted for the F series due to the increased handling, "slot-car" turning and not harsh or obnoxious at all. Navigation is amazing. along with the ease of voice entry while vehicle is moving, you can hover the mouse over icons of buildings and when you click on it, it tells you the address of the site, then another click tells you all the businesses within the building, along with the suite # and phone numbers. Then if you can't find what you're looking for, a simple call to Lexus inform will enable them to "download" the inquiry onto my navi. Simply amazing. Close up photo of the dash shows the performance mode which does substantially increase throttle response. Not a ZR1 by any means, but will help when you need it. Bluetooth everything also means that my IPOD touch never plugs in, yet I can play all my music without cords. Cool..... I've gotten up to 45 mpg - but enthusiastic driving lately has netted me 39 now. I sold my 2008 #6 Prius to a friend and YES.........we're still friends. I miss my Prius, but not so much, you know........?
Yoda welcomes you to the dark side Congrats mang! yeah wow, it's hot, loaded out too. How's the ride quality on rear end? some cush or feel road 'a lot' ?
You know I'm jealous! That thing is awesome! Next time you're up here I want to take it for a spin! Too bad you'll be up here for Christmas because I'll be down in Chatsworth.
my fat a$$ rear end is fine! not harsh at all. justin - yeah we gotta find a time to do our own SCCA.
Omg I just soiled myself at 4:30am!!!! Sooooo jealous...curious, what did it go for all said and done?
TIDELAND - if you look closely at the close up of the bottom console, (where my phone is) you can see the contrast between black (center console) and the seats (ocean blue). But, I'll try to take a better photo. If the lighting is not good, the seats appear to be black. cheers.
wow....$40k seems a bit steep for a fancy prius but wow....its just so gorgeous..... guess I"ll wait until I can get one used
You can get a base one for much cheaper. I just got the fully loaded one, with all the bells and whistles.............i think you can get one in the low 30's.
I notice the gauges are highlighted in red. You must have had it in Power mode. My neighbor has one, but not the much coveted F package. Happy motoring!
The F package is the only reason why i got the CT200. I drove the regular version and it was just a notch above the prius. not enough to warrant another purchase. The F was a completely different beast. lowered and handles much better. that's what i was looking for.
do we have any lexus gurus here or can anyone tell me if the engine/hybrid system on my 2012 CT is the same as the Prius? meaning, use the same oil, oil filter, etc? thanks in advance.
The engine in your CT200h is the same 1.8-liter 2ZR-FXE engine as the 3rd-gen Prius, so it should use the same oil and filter, yep. Same things you would do to take care of a Prius would apply to the CT200. Nice car!
C'mon G.W. ... more pic's ! and congrats too ... good to have a few other Lexus hybrid apostates here
It should be the same. It's the same engine. Not that I want to lose another member but check out ClubLexus too. They have a good member base.
Thank you! so should I buy lexus oil filters or should I just get the toyota filters? also, what's the oil, is it the 0/20W synthetic and is it 3.75 quarts to fill?
