Highly doubtful, and even if you used the remote a/c feature which is part of the solar roof package the reduction in life, if there is any, would be highly negligible.

I do not even think the solar does not even hook up to the battery system. I think it is a close loop system that just runs a small fan when the panel has enough power to do so. On the assumption theater outside will be cooler then in the cab. Hence the reason you turn it off in winter. Steven M.
Reduce the battery life, how? Because the car is a few pounds heavier? I actually wonder if it could help the life of the battery, because the battery won't have to sit and bake in a hot car that's been parked in the sun all day, if the solar ventilation keeps the car interior (and the battery) cooler.
