Has anyone in New England got his 2006 Prius?

    My dealer told me yesterday that no 2006 prius had been shipped in New England area. Could anyone confirm it?

    My dealer had no information about his '06's as well. Looking at Toyofuji Shipping schedule, the '06 shoudl arrive in Newark on the 18th.

    unless i missed an earlier boat, it looks like that is the soonest the 06's will arrive in the northeast.

    I was told the same thing by my dealer here in PA. Dec 18 arrival in Newark.

    Yeah, my dealer in the Boston area actually said that their next shipment will still be 2005s! (but that the one after that will be 2006s)

    I was talking to a dealer about PKG 8 in the East PA and he said he is receiving 2 Prii Monday 11/05. I will be visiting to check the colors and I will update the thread if this is true.

    My dealer here and a dealer in Brooklyn got one 06' Prius in each the other day. Both were silver, don't know the package # for them though since I only want black... That's sad though, 2 dealers, one 06' a piece. :huh:

    My wife is driving an 06', we live in southern Maine and picked it up at Ira Toyota just outside Boston. We picked up the car in January. I'm not sure how we got it so soon

    I ordered one from Atlantic Toyota in Lynn at Last November, but got mine at January 2nd from Expressway Toyota (where I did not order from). And was told that my order from Atlantic would arrive around March, and of course, I had to cancel my order with Atlantic Toyota.

    Did you have a positive experience with this dealer? Did you notice others on the lot? My folks from Boston are visitng me right now and have heard my enthusiasm about the Prius we hope to have in about two weeks or so. They'd like to talk to a dealer in the Boston area, and I welcome your further thoughts on Atlantic Toyota.

    Alternatively, I have seen many threads about higher availability in the Virginia area (and some rebates down there). At what point does a possible rebate make the flight to Virginia from Boston (and the long drive hom again) worthwhile?

    The sales department from Atlantic Toyota maybe good, but I doubt they get many Prius compared with other dealers. I was #5 in their list when I put my deposit, but I was told February that the prius for my order probably came in about March! By the way, I did not care about the package and color too much, I told them package #5, #6, #7 were fine with me. Does it mean they might only get 5 prius in 2-3 month?

    Another dealer (Expressway Toyota), when I called them at January 2nd, they had at least 5 Prius (2 package #7, 2 package #5, maybe another package 3?) in their parking lot! Though I was not in their waiting list, of course, I dropped by and picked mine immediatly. And cancelled my order with Atlantic later.

    I just picked one up this week from IRA in Danvers, MA and the service was good. They had four on the lot to choose from this past weekend.
