I can't help it, I really like overpowered vehicles. I like it when I'm the limiting factor. It's a bummer when something seems overpowered, then a few weeks or months later I get used to it and want more.
Hope so took it out today for a test run and a bit of fishing. After warm up I made a windless glassy smooth run. Afterwards I checked the GPS and it said top speed was 65.3mph. I even had about1/3 or maybe 1/4 throttle left the only limiting factor was a small bit of chine walk but 65 mph will get me where I'm going. I caught one small mouth bass and my friend caught two. It was a sweet day.
The worst day fishing is better than the best day working, as they say. Here's an example of what I'm working on. A period correct mid-production mash up of reproduction and a few NOS parts, combined with some custom fabricated items, including the frame. It won't have an original CSX production number, so it's not a multi million dollar collector's car. But on a nice summer day, perhaps next year, I'll be able to drive a brand new '66 Shelby Cobra 427 to work.
When you talk about ultimate garage I thought you're talking about the actual garage and its layout not what's parked in the garage. There was home builder near my home that had plans for 2 to 8 car garage. I think the largest garage was 45x45' A house down the street from me has a garage big enough to park 4 crew cab long beds in it. There are some houses a few miles from me that have RV garage.
You are right, I sould have worded it better. In my neighborhood it seems like everyone has too much crap in their garage to fit their cars in. In my opinion a garage is where a car(s) is to be kept.
