My son is considering buying this: 2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback Is it a good deal? Thanks, Larry proud owner of '06
It is a III or IV... I spy a backup cam, 15" rims and no fogs. Ah leather too, most likely a IV. I would say it was a decent price.
Probably close to the Edmunds' price, but as mentioned above, lots of deals to be had on leftover 2011s. Check with Dianne Whitmire at Carson Toyota. She can probably save you more than enough to pay for the flight down to Los Angeles to pick up a new car that comes with a two year, 25K service program that pays for all factory recommended maintenance. Dianne lists some of her deals on this forum, and she has a reputation for square dealing.
$23K for a 2 year old car with 26K on it .... that's a good deal ??? I'd think it should be around $18K .... max $20K ... no matter the model. I think it's a lousy deal, and I'd rather have a lesser equipped new car than a used car no matter the options. It's gonna need tires almost immediately for another $500 or so. I'd sure buy a new one with 0% financing for 60 months. You can buy new II's now for about $21K and change from what I've been told. REV
I got a Certified 2010 IV with 12K miles last February just before Washington's Birthday for 22K. So I think you should try to get the dealer down a bit.
Agree with most above. That does not seem like a good deal especially based on current '11 model pricing. If I'm spending 23K or more on a car it's damn sure not going to be a used one...
Go for a 2011 new, full warranty, 25 thousand mile maintance. Contrary to many members my 2011 in 13 thousand miles has been rattle free with mileage in the upper 40's with no problems.
