Just picked it up today. My super-cool wife got me a black w/ dark gray interior for a surprise Christmas present! Prius v5 w/ AT package. This baby has ALL the options! 2nd Prius v in all of Colorado! Got lots of clear bra, mud flaps (on order) and all-weather mats. There is no all-weather cargo mat yet, but just flip over the carpet one and it's all-weather on the other side! She also got an extended 84 month/100K mile warranty. And get this...all for $35,150. She talked them down from $40K! This is my 4th Prius (2001, '04, '08 prior). I am a lucky man!
Congratulations! We, too, just got a v5 for Christmas! Picked it up Friday: Clear Sky Metallic. It's been a long time coming but we finally took the plunge!! So far, so good!!
Single male in search of woman who haggles with car dealerships and gifts her husband a Prius. Serious inquiries only. Pls include picture of Prius.
Congrats! very cool. I have to ask though, why buy the extended warranty when you trade every three years?
If my wife bought me a Prius v I'd be pissed. But if I woke up on Christmas morning to find the garage doors fixed and a LEAF charging that'd be something special. Actually, she's apparently thought of something that I'll want but won't expect. I have no idea what. I have no idea what she's getting apart from something she knows she's getting.
Well then she need not reply. And I didn't say it before but congrats on the Prius. And congrats to her for how excellent haggling skills.
My wife likes extended warranties for the peace of mind. I have never had one on any of my previous Prii. The '01 was sold for a profit at 3.5 years (60K) so I could get an '04. The '04 was paid off in 2.5 years and sold 1.25 years later (77K) for more than I owed when I paid it off The '08 I had only one year (used - bought in '09 at 17K) and actually lost $300 on it when I sold it (at 30K). Cars come and go often in our family depending upon whether or not my wife is working. Plus, I have a motorcycle In short, they have been very reliable and hold their value quite well. --Russ
Well congrats. better get snow tires. We've had our pearl white Prius V model 3 in western Colorado since October for $28k. Note that the local dealer fee is $75, not the $300-$500 that Denver dealers typically charge. So far, great 50 mpg around town. Put some Michelin X ice 2s on which still haven't seen snow.
Nah. I've owned 3 Prii prior to this one and never needed snow tires (from living in Colorado Springs to the back side of Pike's Peak to just north of Denver). The front end of a Prius is so heavy that traction is incredible. Plus the traction control and VSC are super when needed. I've never had any problems even on packed snow and ice. Handles like a dream. Just filled up on my first tank - 47.3 MPG! --Russ
i am getting one too, factory pricing, but also factory wait, getting the V5 w/ AT in Blue Ribbon loaded with security system and remote start. waiting...waiting, they say they are looking for one in the area, it has been a week, i can see that there are 10 on the socal toyota website???
Does it also have the sun roof. Is the $35,150 OTD. The best deal in UT right now for the V 5 with tech is $37K OTD, no extended warranty
