I have just bought a package ii non jbl system. I'm planning to install a pioneer avic z130bt in the car. I'm pretty set on everything I need (dash kit, harness, axxess kit for steering wheel, back up camera, etc) just want some assistance with the VSS/ vehicle speed sensor wire. I done some search people say it's a purple wire around the stereo system. And other say it's near the front left speakers. Do anyone know specifically and possibly have pictures. Thanks

Pin 3 on the 20 pin head unit connector that's also used for a few other items on pins 6/7/8. Working on a new "how I installed" doc... BTW, be careful on the "Reverse Lights" -- yes it is a red wire in the driver side "kick" area. But there are THREE red wires all next to one another. It's pin 29 in that harness... just got to work out what that is. I have photos. Hope to put it all together very soon...
Thanks MrPete, yea I have found 3 red wires, and its hard to count 29 pin when theres 64 pins. but its the middle thicker one hope that helps I put together after my install this may help others that prefer to look a pictures instead of a bunch of reading. The purple speed wire to connect your oem AUX plug back in you will need these three wires on the 20 pin harness, red (input left) black (input right) white(ground) pins 15,16,17 ( this is IF your new radio has RCA aux inputs) here are the instructions to connect your steering wheel controls using AXXESS universal steering wheel controls, also you can find a lot about this on the forum so im not going to get too into it. http://contentdocs.installernet.com/documents/vehicle/10957.pdf these wiring documents help me with this install and other electrical installs. Before After Please feel free to ask me any questions I hope this helps, I had a hard time finding wires for this install thats why I started this thread. If your local I wouldn't mind helping with you install. it will be nice if you'll buy lunch for my time good luck
