After years of driving a Crew Max Tundra and paying $80/week in gas, I decided it was time to make a change. I am now the owner of a 2011 Blizzard Pearl 4 with the Plus Performance Package and I can honestly say, this car is really cool. The Plus Package really makes this car stand out and it is a fun car to drive. I can't wait to use this forum to learn more about this amazing car.

I'm with you on the gas budget change! What a difference! My former BMW 7 Series was drinking $80/week as well. My friends called me 007 when I was driving it. At first laughed at me a bit when I made the change until I told them the gas/mpg change. Several want to make the same move now! 007 got a bit smarter! :D

Welcome. As a recovering truck addict, I can relate. I fold down the rear seats, spread out a stiff reinforced plastic tarp that covers everything up to the bottom of the windows, and then can carry nearly all the same loads that I did in my Sierras, Avalanche, or Dakota. Granted, there are certain oversized, overweight, messy, or smelly loads that are beyond the capability of the Prius, but I seldom need to haul those types of loads. That's what friends with trucks or a delivery service is for.

well I'll add to it - traded in a 2004 Jeep Rubicon since daily commute went from 0 miles a day (work from home) to 60 miles a day - after monitoring gas cost per month - around $280.00 a month over a 6 month period got a 2011 Prius ii - just did the first fill up yesterday - 48.97 mpg - compared to a 6 month average of 17.3 mpg from the heep :). Congrats to you :)
