The rain finally went away so took the Prius to the tint shop today. Got the vent visors installed but too late to get pics, will post tomorrow.
Looks great! I want to do the same but can't seem to get an appointment in my buddy's shop. He does really hi-end cars (Lambos, Porsche, Ferrari, Benz ect) He has tinted my previous cars but I think he is trying to avoid having a Prius in his shop
I have the Barcelona Red too and was wondering what percentage of tint did you get on the windows? It seems similar to what I had in mind.
Love that color red, I think I would like the Blizzard also. The tint is 20% on the rear doors and the rear quarter windows, the other windows and the band across the windshield is a little lighter, 30 or 35% don't remember which. This is the third vehicle this shop has done for me, does a good job. The Mazda5 that got totaled was done there and it really looked good.
I've got the red too and I went limo (5%) for the rears and 35% for the fronts and front quarters. I love the way it looks, my wife thinks it's too dark. Good thing it's my car, huh? Looks good though. Great choice!
Great, let us know how it goes with the install. If I get mine, I'll have to install myself and hope it's not too hard since my joints work like and old man and I don't move in a lot of directions.
Alright, just for comparison here's pics of mine with limo rear and 35% front. Nothing on the windshield. I work at an auto shop, so don't worry about the pile behind it with the hood up.
Yes, the rear hatch is the same. It does make it more difficult to back out of spaces at night, but I don't mind it. I don't even need the cargo cover anymore. The glass is so dark you can't see anything in there anyway.
Looks sweet! Lose the hub caps. They pull right off, leaving 1 1/2 inch holes in the alloy wheels beneath. Tons of people here will tell you how you can order Toyota cap covers, while others use electrical box knock-out covers for less money.
