Wanted to introduce myself......Jerome from Hailey, Idaho. My wife and I just traded in her 94 Izusu Rodeo for a slightly used 2011 IV. It is silver with Navigation and Solar roof package. 7800 miles on clock. Certified from the dealer. Is there anything Toyota has not thought of for this vehicle? We have arrived in the 21st century!`I really enjoy specific forums, so I will probably be the one on here. I have just found it and will start seaching and asking newbie questions. With the low clearance, she will be challenging at times here in snow country in the winter. On those days, we will commute in my truck. Snow tires and rims will be on Monday. My mind feels like a sponge and can not wait to dive in here. Looking forward to the schooling and meeting many of you. Cheers
Welcome aboard Jerome! The prius does need some winter help but does just as well as any front-wheel drive car I have had in the past. I use studded snow tires myself.
Thanks cycledrum. Nice looking bike. My other vehicle (which is asleep for the winter) is a 2005 Yami FJR 1300........
Welcome, Im a new prius owner also, just bought one 11/21/11. Loving it so far and this forum is great. I learned a lot from here before getting my car and it helped greatly. I think I shocked the first salesman a bit with my knowledge on the car and options. I love reading the technical sections. I want to take great care of this car, get many miles and years of service out of the car.
New to the Prius community, just purchased a new black 2011 with 6 miles on the odometer, and loving it. We have put 250+ miles on it, averaging 50mpg,
