2012 Prius Hatchback Availability?

    Does anyone know when the 2012's (non V or PIP) will hit dealer lots? Are dealers already placing orders for 2012's? How about prices...are they available yet?

    Had my 2011 in for service and the dealer tried to talk me into trading it in on the 2012 hatchback I was looking at.

    Are you positive it wasn't a V? I don't believe that 2012's are on lots yet. ...

    It had to be a v (lower case, not upper case)... The 2012's in the 'regular' Prius are not out yet afaik. Maybe late December into January from a site which has build information listed on it.

    you will not see 2012 Prius until Jan 2012. Retail date set for 1/13/12

    Ill answer my own question.. Did some calls and it appears most dealers are not seeing anything until January...So it appears you maybe correct. =(

    On 11/16 S'vale dealer said there is nothing showing in shipment for 2012 Prius. Mentioned only one more shipment of 2011's coming, so ...

    I'll bet 2012 Prius' will land about the first or second week of December. Really doubt January. That's too late.

    I am a sales manager of a Toyota Dealership. That is the date according to my 2012 launch calendar. Hope that helps!

    I was told last week by a dealer that they were able to preference one for Dec. build and Jan delivery. Can anyone else confirm this?

    Didn't hear anything regarding prices.

    A dealer recently contacted me informing me that he just started to receive allocation for the new 2012's. He expects further information in the coming weeks.

    So I am speculating a January release.
