Instead of posting more in http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...t-class-action-update-settlement-reached.html, I figured I'd start a new thread if people want to post or discuss the award letters they received. Today, I received my award letter and they've given me a preliminary reimbursement award of $110.46. I'm happy with this amount as it's the amount I filed a claim for (cost of of the 2 Philips D4R bulbs I bought on Amazon + tax). I used one to replace a failing bulb that happened a bit outside the 5 years/50K miles (which I explained when I wrote to them) and said I figured the other bulb will go out soon anyway, since it's the same D4R. Too bad it didn't start failing within the 5 years/50K miles so that I didn't have to DIY. It turned into a big project for me and I had to eventually pull the front bumper cover partly off (posted about it in another thread)...
^ Hate to bump threads but anyone else have any updates of their own to post? I couldn't be the only one who has received an award letter.
from - hidsettlement.com: Important Update – Pursuant to the Fairness Hearing held on October 17, 2011, the Court granted Final Approval of this Settlement. I'm guessing the checks will start going out shortly?
