hood protector and bug shield

    Looking to pick up a hood protector/bug shield for our 2010. Does anyone out there have either of these two models? Or are these two models the same? i've been trying to research the differences between the two and can't figure out if they are different or the same. Any help/input is appreciated. Thanks.

    Here are the two models i'm looking at:

    So appreciate your quick reply! I was having a hard time determining if the two items were indeed the same thing as the pictures look so, so very different (i.e - yours on prius chat looks like it's "smoke" colored while the one on juicedhybrid looks more "silver/gray-ish). Also tried to cross reference item/part numbers but was unable to do so. I'm guessing you were you able to match product codes, is that correct?

    Prius is only two months old and just saw my first chipped paint on hood. It's very, very tiny probably from a rock on freeway but I know it's there. Should I expect more to follow and is a hood protector a good idea?

    best bet is going with clear bra to protect the whole front end...

    i like the idea of a clear bra, but man is it expensive. called clearpro out here in socal and they charge $650!

    i would like to do it, but not at that price...

    I'd gladly pay that price if I could go back in time and prevent the massive number of chips my hood and bumper now sport. It's going to cost more to have everything repainted and then i'll just accumulate more chips because aftermarket paint is less durable than factory paint.

    Get the clear bra before it's too late.

    They are both the same thing.

    I would Definitly recommend getting one. One thing I hate is nasty icky bugs all over my car.
