I just got my new Prius V, Five with AT package. It's a fantastic car, but the NAV and phone integration is still somewhat confusing. I was surprised when the car suddenly popped up a message on the screen that I received a new email. And it then has the capability to read the email. That all seems to work great. However, what does not seem to work is the "respond" feature with the predetermined phrases. Whenever I try to use that it tells me "Error sending message" or something similar. Just wondering if anyone else tried this feature. I have a Blackberry 9810 Torch, which is paired to the car using the MAP (message access), AVRCP (A/V Remote control), HFP (Hands Free) and Audio Sink protocols. I didn't see any security settings on the Blackberry that may prevent a bluetooth connection to send email, but maybe there is...
If someone email you a meeting location, it would be awesome for eTune to recognize the address and offer to navigate to location. I think it was Mini Cooper's app system that allows a similar feature (not sure)...
No, it'll read it back, but there isn't a way to set a destination from the E-Mail or SMS. And that feature is not part of ENTUNE, FYI.
A quick thing to add here. The phone has to have the MAP feature in it. The only ones I have seen work are Blackberry phones and not all of them.
