I took delivery of my Prius V today, my first hybrid. I have only driven it about 60 miles or so which means I have a lot to learn. I practice "semi" hypermiling in my Scion xB and get much better than the EPA rating on the sticker, but from what I have read so far, I may need to adjust my thinking just a bit to get my best from the Prius. I will be here a lot ( I love forums ) so I look forward to lots of good ideas, advice, and exchanges of information. Thanks for the forum. Jim
Yeah, we're just trying to keep confusion to a minimum at this point. For 2010 the Prius had models in Roman Numerals II, III, IV and V. Then for 2011 because of the v coming out down the pipeline they went with numbered models 2, 3, 4 and 5. So the lower case is how Toyota actually lists it and it avoids 2010 Prius V confusions (or at least avoids adding to the confusion) lol.
Even Toyota has apparently changed their mind on this or not everybody got the memo, because some of their earlier documentation used the capital V.
Isn't the 'v' on the tailgate an uppercase looking v ?? That could be confusing! Good think they didn't call the trim a Prius v V
Congrats! And please add your "vote" to the poll if you haven't all ready: http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-v-main-forum/99642-prius-v-owners-what-replacing.html
122 miles since filling up (dealer), the computer says my average is 54.9 mpg. I know it's optimistic but it must still be close to 50 mpg. I have driven about 60% city and 40% highway. First fill up in a few hundred miles.
