I've looked everywhere for pricing for the 2012 Non PIP. I would like to compare the #'s before making a final decission. Does anyone have this info or am I just to early?
I don't think they are shipping 2012 regular Prii until December for Jan. sales, probably a month till pricing is available.
Whelp, last year the 2011's landed about first week of December. I think they need to get them here about that time. Given the nice upgrades in the Two, touchscreen, backup camera, USB and bluetooth, I'll take a wild guess and say the starting price will jump about ..... $400 ?? Not sure about the Three because they're adding the above stuff, adding 3 door Smart Key, but looks like they've ditched the higher end audio (no amplifier, 2 less speakers). Then again, no CD changer which will save cost. About $2k discounts on most 2011's around here.
Which will handily make more room for the Two-equivalent Prius c. I expect a $1k gap, as there always is. I'm sure the 3 door SKS will be a big draw. Lots of market conditions helping that.
That would be awesome to gain navigation and 3 door Smart Key in Three over Two for only $1k. But it makes sense since the Prius v Three gets nav for only $700 more than the Two. Better than $1800 as it is now to get nav, backup camera and USB, yikes. I think in the 2012 one will be arguably getting more nice features for a little less money.
2011 Prius 3 w/nav stickers out to $27,210 here while v three (which has nav, entune) is right around 28k sticker, so not a lot of room to jack up price of a 2012 3 unless they plan on hiking the v price real soon.
Good eye! I guess the question becomes this: Does Toyota want the Prius V to be considered better than the regular Prius, or just bigger? I could see Toyota pricing them the same, since they each have their advantages...
