I've been a lurker for years here on Prius Chat... I have spread the good word about Prius' and finally I drank the Kool-Aid myself. I just picked up on a 2005 Package #5 with 86k on it. Yes there are a few scratches and dings...the interior looks near mint with leather seats.no floor mats or rear hatch slidy thing to hide you stuff but hey inside the glove box with the warrenty pamplets were service tickets going back to 11k from service at Dealer.Original owners name address and phone number. Previously just one owner. Got if from auction. paid less than 10K. Today further checking it out I found 12v battery reading 9.95vdc..so after calling the stealership and getting quote of $166 + tax ...I went online and ordered an Optima D51 battery for $170 with free shipping and no tax.Should have it by end of the week. Just wanted to say hi.
Nice buy, I personally don’t trust auctions but looks like you found a good deal. I bought mine with the same mileage so had to change tires, add floor mats and get the oil change. Now taking it for Transaxle Oil Change and the Engine Coolant Service. You should think about that too
Sounds like very good deal indeed! I am helping my friend to buy a Prius G2, and I know the price in Chicago area. Almost all G2 under $10K are salvaged title, or clean title with bumper replaced obviously. Your trim at least will cost $12.5K I believe in Chicago area, and I don't see any leather seats neither. My friend wants to stick with <$10K price, but I suggest him to go $12-14K range to get the best value, even finance a little bit, but he is a cash only guy. Wish our big brother were stubborn as him in past decades...
Welcome To PriusChat . I remember the excitement waiting for my 2007 Prius to come in. Every since than I remain excited with all the features of this wonderful car. But Best Of All The Gas Savings, I have been getting 56 MPG for the last 4 years. I hope you enjoy your new baby as much as I do mine.
