So I just bought my blue Prius 2 today. Before taxes, etc. it was well under MSRP, just over 21k and they threw in the BluLogic bluetooth system for a good discount since that was the only thing making me consider a Prius 3 (that and the sound system, but I'm easy to please in the speaker department). Now I'll just have to head back to get the BluLogic installed. I'd initially wanted Winter Grey exterior and Dark Grey interior - which was available in a P3 at another dealer, but this dealer had a better price and the minute I saw the Blue I loved it even with the Bisque interior (which is honestly very much like the tan interior on my Civic Hybrid that this car is replacing so it's ok too). Anyway, just glad to have the whole purchasing over with (regardless of whether or not the deal was great or not) since it was the result of my other car getting totalled and I was scrambling to decide what I wanted and to find a car. I think I'm going to love it though, definitely getting used to it now.
Yeah, coming from a Civic Hybrid in which I was consistently able to get upper-40s in I think I can do better in this since I've moved closer to work and do a good deal less interstate driving than I used to. The Civic had also started suffering from the dreaded constant battery re-cal issue fairly regularly which never really was an issue on the interstate but was really eating into the MPG in town.
Welcome! The more I see the blue in person, the more I like it. Shhh! Don't tell other members of the blizzard brigade.
Haha!! I liked Blizzard - they actually had one on the lot with the same interior - just didn't like the modest up charge for it, and my Civic Hybrid had been white so I really wanted a change. Do either of you have the Blulogic installed? Which available switch location do you think is the most ergonomic for using it? One of the ones on the left or the one on the right under the power button (or do I even get a choice in the matter?).
I use a Motorola Roadster which I bought for my Subaru. It works OK for me - an infrequent cell phone user on the road.
