Complaining to the car manufacturers and letting them know that this is an unacceptable practice is very important! This should not be a trend in the auto industry...if they are not willing to provide tires that can be reasonably replaced then they should sell the cars WITHOUT tires and when you pick up your car you bring in your own tires!!!!
C'mon people, where are consumer protection laws! This is poor consumer practice...call Toyota USA and voice your concerns (and those of you with other cars should do likewise)

You do realise that tyre pressure reduces in the cold, right?

Be persistent, do it only when merited, and do it politely. But be sure you do it.

Don't leave your voice unheard when the company bean counter makes your life more expensive in an "unintended consequences" sort of way.

No, I'll stick with "Really Toyota" as they picked the tire. When you buy tires in the numbers that car makers do, they should have a little say so in availability. Well, the service manager at my dealer was a little embarrassed by the situation and managed to locate a tire at an out of town Toyota dealer and had it shipped down here. Took care of me. Thank you RK Toyota.

I wouldn't say every dealer should stock every original equipment tire for every model they sell, but the regional parts depot should.stock them for at least 3 years.

I do not know, I see it as an inconvenience and a Bridestone problem since so many places have been low on tires as of late but not a Toyota problem and certainly not a problem where people should be taking up phones against Toyota over it.

No such thing as a national backorder. Every Bridgestone dealer in my area has Ecopias in stock. Try a tire dealer that wants your business.

Yeah, I found lots or EP 100's, 200"s and 422's, but no EP20's. Read the first post.

Call Bridgestone (615) 937-1000 & ask why you can't find the tire. If Bridgestone discontinued it then it isn't Toyota's fault.

Wow, didn't know the Toyota TPMS is so unreliable.

Seems like it wouldn't be worth much if it's that bad.

    How frustrating!
