I have these ventshades and did not use the clips the first time. I ended up having one blow off while driving down the road. The second install I used the clips and had no problem. I didn't like the idea of clips, but they work. I might consider silicone if the clips rust but will see what happens.
Go with JDM visors - theyre the ones made to withstand tsunamis and such. I don't know what it is with WeatherTech but the kids on Lexus forums seem to make fun of them.
