Hello! I purchased a 2004 prius with cd changer & navigation last year, and it has a DICE Ipod Integration manual in the glovebox along with an ipod cord underneath in the CD storage compartment under the stereo. My 5yo ipod classic worked with it just fine until it finally died, my iphone worked for a month (with the adaptor i used in my previous car that lets it charge) and then it would play a split second of a song and then stop. That all is moot anyway, because I have an android phone and what I really want is just an aux cord to use for my phone. So my question is -- if my girly non-techy hands can manage to follow the instructions to take the glovebox/vent off (there's a very handy instruction photos printed out in my glovebox as well, thank you hybrideyes) -- how do I connect my aux. cord to it? I can't figure that part out. I'd appreciate any help!
I don't know if you have already found your answer or not, however I thought it might be worthwhile answering for the benefit of all who might read this thread in the future... I have a DICE Silverline Duo - and to add AUX capability you need to unplug the cable that leads to your iPod, and plug in a different cable (sold separately) that has a 3.5mm input. Best of luck. S
You can keep the ipod cable and just add the 3.5 to 3.5 cable, any cable will work, there is no need to remove the ipod cable dice interface comes with both options or you can drill a litle hole in the dash and add this aux cable 3.5mm dash mount audio input plug
