Hi everyone, I have a 2008 prius opt3 that I bought new. It now has 36000 miles and I've run into my first real problem. It is 90+ degrees today in upstate NY so I ran my AC on a 40 minute drive with no issues. The car sat about 2 hours before we drove back home. About 30 minutes into it we turned right to get off the thru-way and had alot of water dump onto my right foot. I pulled over and couldn't really see anything, but I did notice there was no "ac drip" under the car.Every turn we made we had water coming out of both sides under the dash. The accelerator pedal was dripping with water by time we got home. My question is where is the drain tube under the car for the AC? And should I have the gas pedal looked at because it got wet? :(

Any feedback would be very helpfull, Henry J

I have never had the problem and no longer have my Gen II Prius but a search of the Gen II forums did reveal some information.

Try an advanced search of the Gen II forums for air conditioning drain or something similar. Also if you start a new topic in the Gen II maintenance and troubleshooting forum more people will see it than here in the newbie forum. I'm sure there is an answer for you somewhere on this site, good luck.:)

I purchased my 2007 prius used several years ago, no problems. On Monday, some ding dong backed up their truck, while I was stopped at a red light, into my car puncturing a hole in the bumper equal to the tow pipe thing hanging out of the back of her truck. Light turned green, I followed her across the intersection and turned right into a parking lot and OMG a torrent of icy cold (AC?) water poured onto my bare (in CA ) foot. This happened 2 more times that day within 10 minutes of each other, then twice more last night. What the heck is going on? Dangerous to drive with a slippery wet gas pedal and it's unnerving to have cold water unexpectedly pour onto your foot while driving!

i've heard about this in the past. i'm not sure if the tube is on the side of the car or somewhere around 6 or so inches in. it's basically under the passenger rear view mirror. (sometimes hard to find since they are "gaps" in between the welds.)

i would assume an easy way to test it would be to take a look after a drive with the a/c on. this may allow you to locate a wet spot.

maybe i'll take a pic if i find mine (or google it)
