Congrats. That sounds like a good deal. About the same price I am going to pay for mine. I go for a test drive tomorrow.
i think i could have gone a bit lower if i tried hard enough. maybe 29k flat. they are looking to make deals now.
I just got a call from my dealer and he said Toyota has announced a new buyers incentive and they just got the news. One option was $1000 cash rebate! There were other options on financing but that is the best one for me. So by waiting a couple of weeks I will have saved about $2300 on a new 2011 Prius. I'm glad I procastinated.
yup. i asked my sales person and they told me that winter time is the best time to buy a car. from april to august, you won't find a great deal.
$1000 Rebate on Prius? I don't see it on Toyota's website. I see it for other modelsm, but not on Prius.
Maybe they haven't put it on the Toyota website yet. They just found out at the dealers about an hour ago, I imagine the dealers get the news first. He said he was calling all his customers. I'm going in tomorrow and we had just talked, then he called back a few minutes later and and asked how many times this had happened to me when I was buying a car. gave me the news about the $1000 Toyota rebate. Said they had just gotten the word. He knows I'm buying a Prius, I have one reserved. (Of course he could have been mistaken and it may not be for Prius, I haven't seen it in writing. )
There' is a special right now going on for Toyota Prius, but it's only in for southern California Toyota dealerships as of now. (If you go on the dealership websites for those in southern cali, you'll be able to find it) They're offering 0% apr for 36 months, 1.9 % for 48 months, and 2.9% apr for 60 months. I am sure it will spread to more places once the 2012's come out!
I'm kind of confused about these rebate things. I'm relatively new to car buying...I'm in southern california, and am taking advantage of the low apr, can i still get the rebate? I still haven't signed the contract yet, but it's in the works.
I can't find anything online about the new rebate the Toyota dealer told me about over the phone today. According to what he said there was a $1000 rebate, or an option of lower financing rates too. He indicated this just was announced today. Perhaps this is some kind of local dealer incentive instead of a national program and I misunderstood what he said. Or some kind of sales pitch. I will contact him and find out tomorrow. Edited to show I just checked the dealers' website and found the following disclaimer. "Prices include $1000.00 Toyota Financial Services Discount. Must finance with Toyota to qualify at conventional rates in lieu of special financing. " It seems I won't qualify for this unless I finance through Toyota. Not really a $1000 rebate , unless something else is added to their website in the next few days.
That's an excellent price. I see you got it from Longo based on the license plate in your pic. Congratulations!
